Daniar Eleusinov became the seventh boxer - Olympic champion in the history of independent Kazakhstan, BNews.kz correspondent reported.
The list of the Kazakhstan Olympic champions in boxing:
1. Vasily ZHIROV is the champion of the Olympic Games of 1996 ( 81 kg), the owner of Val Barker Trophy,
2. Bekzat SATTARKHANOV is the champion of the Olympic Games of 2000 (57 kg)
3. Ermakhan IBRAIMOV is the champion of the Olympic Games of 2000 (71 kg)
4. Bakhtiar ARTAEV is the champion of the Olympic Games of 2004 (67 kg), the owner of Val Barker Trophy
5. Бахыт SARSEKBAEV - the champion of the Olympic Games of 2008 (69 kg)
6. Serik SAPIEV is the champion of the Olympic Games of 2012 (69 kg), the owner of Val Barker Trophy
7. Daniar ELEUSINOV is the champion of the Olympic Games of 2016 (69 kg)
The tradition of winnig a golden medal isn't interrupted by Kazakhstan at the Olympic Games since 1996.
Besides, Eleusinov has brought to Kazakhstan the third Olympic gold in a row in 69 kg bandamweight division.
