Session: Promotion of Competition: New "Game Rules"

The key task of this session is to show the role of antimonopoly regulation and protection of competition in the development of modern economic policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the prospects for its further development. Plan of the Nation “One Hundred Concrete Steps” of N.A. Nazarbayev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, envisages changing of the concept of antimonopoly service work and its alignment with the OECD standards (53rd step). In October 2015, OECD conducted peer review of Competition Law and Policy in Kazakhstan at the meeting of the OECD Global Forum on Competition in Paris.
The “Promotion of Competition: New "Game Rules"” session participants will get acquainted with the latest changes in the competition law of the Republic of Kazakhstan for its conformity with the OECD standards and the international best practices.
