Former Chief Economist Goldman Sachs and creator BRICS acronym

Jim O'Neill is a British financier and the former Chief Economist of Goldman Sachs. The first to coin the acronymbbreviation “BRIC” (Brazil, Russia, India and China), he has madedone a series of studies on these and other emerging economies, published numerous articles on theis topic, authored the book The Growth Map: Economic Opportunity in the BRICs and Beyond, and in early 2014 created the BBC documentary series MINT: The Next Economic Giants. In addition, Jim O'Neill is also one of the founding trustees and president of the British educational charity SHINE.
