Visa support
The visa to the Republic of Kazakhstan is issued upon visa support – an official invitation for citizens of foreign countries issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan that grants the right to obtain a visa for crossing the borders of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Forum participants are invited by the Organizing Committee of the Astana Economic Forum 2016. To obtain the visas of the Republic of Kazakhstan, foreign citizens should apply to a diplomatic / consular office of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
For citizens of the countries that do not have the Kazakhstan diplomatic mission/consulate, we advise to apply for visa in the nearest diplomatic mission/consulate or to apply for visa upon arrival at the international airports (also on the basis of visa support).
Procedure for obtaining visas to enter the Republic of Kazakhstan
Holders of diplomatic, service and ordinary passports are exempted from Kazakhstan visa requirements.

The citizens of your country are provided with the following procedure for visa support application:
You shall submit to the Consular Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan abroad the following documents:
- A valid passport (or international travel document), that must be valid for at least three months longer than the validity of the requested visa.

Completed visa application form. All participants must complete the “D1” visa category.
- One colour photo (3,5х4,5);
- Copy of passport;
- Copy of invitation letter for participation in the Astana Economic Forum 2016.
- Copy of invitation letter indicating the number of visa support of Consular Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Please complete the following form to receive the invitation letter indicating the number of visa support:
The completed form and scanned passport first page (page with photo and passport details) must be sent to visa@forum-astana.org.
The period of documents consideration is 5 working days.
The letter with the number of visa support will be sent to your e-mail within 2-5 days.
After receiving the number of visa support please contact the Consular Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan to obtain the visa.
Registration upon arrival in the Republic of Kazakhstan
- The foreign visitors will be issued a migration card, which must be surrendered upon departure, at the Kazakhstan national border crossing points by custom officers or members of train and plane crews.
- Be sure to check the number of immigration stamps: your passport is stamped once (upon entry).
- A migration card shall be kept until departure from Kazakhstan.
A foreign national arriving in the country for over 5 days, must apply within five calendar days upon crossing the Kazakhstan national border to the forum organizers or administrative subdivision of a migration police for registration.

Your country is among 48 countries that are exempt from having to produce a visa support; therefore you will enjoy a simplified procedure for obtaining entry visas. To obtain such kind of visa, you shall submit to the Consular Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan abroad the following documents:

Registration upon arrival in the Republic of Kazakhstan
- The foreign visitors will be issued a migration card, which must be surrendered upon departure, at the Kazakhstan national border crossing points by custom officers or members of train and plane crews.
- Be sure to check the number of immigration stamps: passports of citizens, who are exempt from having to produce the visa support, are stamped twice: upon registration and entry.
- A migration card shall be kept until departure from Kazakhstan.
- A foreign national arriving in the country for over 5 days, must apply within five calendar days upon crossing the Kazakhstan national border to the forum organizers or administrative subdivision of a migration police for registration.
