A press briefing announcing the launch of Astana Economic Forum: Global Challenges Summit 2018 took place today at the office of Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.

During the press briefing, Ruslan Erbolatovich, Kazakhstan’s First Vice Minister for National Economics specified the framework for the congress and its agenda. In addition, he commented on the 11 global challenges that are the foundation for the agenda of the forum and their connection with Kazakhstan. Participants of the press briefing announced the names of the speakers and answered questions by the press.

A Polish film director, screenwriter and producer, winner of the Golden Lion at the 1984 Venice Film Festival (for "A Year of the Quiet Sun") along with many other international and national awards, Krzysztof Zanussi will be speaking at the 2018 Astana Economic Forum.
