Scientists around the world call on global retailers to stop selling genetically-modified products, while telling agricultural producers to reduce the use of pesticides in order to increase productivity. There is already proof that the process of inserting a foreign gene into an organism’s genome, its stability is violated, which can cause a change in chemical contents and the appearance of toxic substances in it. The consequences of worldwide use of pesticides and nitrates are even more frightening: illness, violations of ecosystems, and extinction of species. Can agriculture be safer and more advanced at the same time?
