The Triple Helix denotes that the potential for innovation and economic development in a Knowledge Society lies in a more prominent role for the university and in the hybridisation of elements from university, industry and government to generate new institutional and social formats for the production, transfer and application of knowledge. This vision particularly encompasses the creative renewal that arises within each of the three institutional spheres of university, industry and government, as well as at their intersections.
The panelists of the session will address the following issues: the role of higher education in the modernization of the economy, entrepreneurial and innovative universities, the future of universities, graduate employment and the needs of the economy.
The EHELF traditionally emphasizes an interactive exchange of views between the speakers and the audience. It is expected that the session will be attended by about 300 leaders and academic community of higher educational institutions from the Eurasian region, business representatives, decision makers and other stakeholders.
Speeches of the speakers will be published in the annual Conference Proceedings, which is indexed in ERIC, Google Scholar, and Thomson Reuters.
