The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Boao Forum for Asia and Astana Economic Forum, represented by Chairman of the Board of JSC “Economic Research Institute” Aset Irgaliyev, was held on March 26, 2016 at Boao, Hainan.
The memorandum lays the foundations for strategic and operative cooperation between the organizations, in particular, at expanding joint work in the areas of activities jointly held in the framework of Astana Economic Forum.
Please be advised that on May 25-26 there will be held the Great Silk Road Countries` Forum, which involves direct participation of Boao Forum for Asia. The Forum will discuss the issues related to cooperation of countries along the Silk Road that determines the regional development in the future. Particular emphasis will be laid on challenges and prospects for cooperation between two Eurasian geopolitical projects – The Silk Road Economic Belt and Eurasian Economic Integration.
In addition, there will be discussed the issues concerning the energy cooperation, infrastructural development of the region, economic cooperation, and trade. The uniqueness of the Forum lies in its relevance and timeliness. Today, there is a growing interest of the international community in revival of the Great Silk Road.
