Mikheil Janelidze, Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has confirmed his participation in the 2018 AEF Global Challenges Summit.
Early in his career, he worked as a senior specialist at the Georgian Foreign Ministry’s Centre for Foreign Policy Studies and Analysis, after which he went into business. Prior to his appointment to the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mikheil served as Deputy Minister of Economics and Sustainable Development. During his tenure as Deputy Minister of Economics (2011-2015), Mikheil Janelidze served as Georgia's chief negotiator when the free trade agreement with the European Union was established. Shortly thereafter, he became Deputy Foreign Minister in 2015.
